V-Groove bits have a steep taper for sharp, deep grooves. Up and down spiral bits make clean, fast cuts. Ball nose bits make clean, deep grooves with a gently rounded bottom. O-Flute bits are specially designed for use in soft plastic material.
Deep grooves should be made with several passes. Running the bit shallow or deep gives you a different look with the same CNC router bit.
